I also have a ton of software that provides a huge amount of variety.I wanted to include that aspect in my 'variety' comment above, but couldn't name any specifics because I still don't have any. We get that he loves the Roland sound, but there’s enough other stuff in there that’s completely different that I’d hesitate to say that they’re in danger of using too much of “one flavor.” Can it be expanded a bit, like I suggested? Sure, but when you compare his capabilities compared to most musicians, there’s a decent range. There’s no right or wrong way to do it, it’s just what ever works for you. In a sense, I think keeping that end of it simple lets artists focus on getting creativity out of the composition and song writing. Of course producers added things and new elements, but the core remained fairly static. Miles, etc and their main instruments didn’t really change much over the years. Too much of one flavour can ruin the dish.I don’t really believe that’s true, even though I’m in the camp that likes to have as wide a range of sound crafting possibilities as possible.
